“Cinderella’s Closet”

“Cinderella’s Closet”, a ministry of Concord Baptist Church, wants to help you and your middle or high school age daughters go to the prom in style. We understand the difficulties of families today in these tough economic times. The costs of these events can be just too much. We understand that, but, we also know that these “Cinderellas” have hopes and dreams.

The “Fairy Godmothers” at Concord know the pressures of today’s society. We want our girls to feel good about themselves and that God loves them, that they are special in His eye. We endorse the PROM PROMISE of sexual, alcohol and drug abstinence. It is OK to say NO.

“Cinderella’s Closet will be open once a year for our Shopping Day, usually in March. Our closet is filled with beautiful dresses in sizes from small to plus. Some are gently used, but many are new with the price tags still on them. Shoes, purses, and jewelry are available in limited amounts. *All items are on a first come-first served basis. Each girl is allowed 1 dress and she must be present to select the dress.*

The most wonderful part is that there is NO COST to the girls or their families.

We welcome donations of dresses, shoes, purses, and jewelry year round. Dresses should be gently used, up to date prom styles and age appropriate. Monetary donations are welcomed as well. We depend solely on fundraising events and monetary donations to finance our ministry.

Local area papers will carry event information. Contact Jeannie Ball at 804-633-6786 or Diane Boone at 804-994-5251 or e-mail us at concordcloset@gmail.com for more information.
